“The Good Women” is a new, funny, bold and romantic play written, performed and directed by an all-female team from the UK, Ireland and Europe. It is inspired by a true story and brings an overlooked chapter of women's history to the stage. It’s the 1960s, the world is changing. Protesters take the streets, hippies celebrate free love and a young band called “The Beatles” is rising to fame. Not in Switzerland, where women still don't have the vote (and would not get it until 1971) and are legally confined to kitchen and household. Bette, the star of a regional TV cooking show, and Trudy, a housewife, are about to change that.
