Ballet Kelowna announces the launch of the Pop-Up Series, a new free initiative that brings the Company to outdoor and alternative spaces throughout the community. The inaugural edition, Dance by the Lake, will take place August 24-27 at Kelowna City Parks Jubilee Grandstands. From August 24-26, Ballet Kelowna will host a series of workshops and demonstrations; on August 27, audiences are invited to enjoy an open viewing of Company class and rehearsal, a pre-show chat and special evening performance at 6pm - all part of the Kelowna Made Festival. The performance will include a sneak peek of choreographer Cameron Fraser-Monroes work, taq, along with Ballet Kelowna audience favourite, MAMBO by Alysa Pires. Pre-registration is required for all public classes and is strongly recommended for the August 27 performance. All Dance by the Lake activities are free or by donation.
