Bell, Book and Candle by John Van Druten is a timeless classic described in the New York Times as “… completely enchanting—a wonderfully suave and impish fantasy.” Gillian Holroyd is one of the few modern people who can actually cast spells and perform feats of supernaturalism. She casts a spell over publisher Shepherd Henderson, partly to keep him away from a rival and partly because she is attracted to him. He falls head over heels in love with her; but witches, unfortunately, cannot fall in love, which leads to a number of difficulties. In addition to featuring a live cat as Pyewacket, Little Theatre of Norfolk will partner with PETA's Community Animal Project (CAP) to help 5 foster kittens find their forever homes. All five kittens were rescued by CAP and are currently being fostered. CAP is committed to the well-being and advocacy for animal rights in the Hampton Roads community and beyond. To learn more about adopting kittens and other available animals, please reach out to PETA's Community Animal Project at adopt@peta.org. BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, serving the Dramatists Play service collection.
