Company, October 18-November 16

The Vagabond Players will present the smash hit Broadway musical Company, opening Friday October 18, and running weekends through November 17.

Company, book by George Furth, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondhein, is directed by Eric J. Potter, with musical direction by Douglas Lawler and choreography by Ernie Ritchey.

This 1970 Tony award winning musical is one of the first to deal with the adult themes of marriage and commitment. Sondheim’s vibrant and electrifying score and a cast of marvelous voices set the tone for a production that is sleek, smart and sophisticated from start to finish.

Auditions: Harvey, October 19 and 22

Harvey by Mary Chase, directed by Sherrionne Brown - auditions at the Vagabond Theatre, 806 S. Broadway.

Audition dates: Saturday, October 19, 1pm-3pm and Tuesday, October 22, 7pm-9pm. Appointments are not required.

Run dates: January 10, 2014 – February 9, 2014, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Sundays at 2 PM

Rehearsals start Monday, November 18.

Available Roles: Veta, Elwood, and Dr. Chumley have been cast; all remaining roles (5 women, 4 men) are open

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the novella by Robert Louis Stevenson; directed by John W. Ford.

Auditions at the Vagabond Theatre, 806 S. Broadway

Audition Dates: Saturday, November 2, 1pm-4pm (walk-ins accepted until 3 PM) and Monday, November 4, 7pm-10pm (walk-ins accepted until 9 PM). Appointments are not required.

Run Dates: February 28, 2014 – March 30, 2014, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Sundays at2 PM

Rehearsals start Monday, January 13

Available Roles: 2 women, 4 men (all roles open)

Parking in Fells Point

We know how difficult parking can be in Fells Point. Here are some tips to make it easier:

  • Allow yourself plenty of time.
  • The Water Taxi spaces at the foot of Broadway open for general parking at 7:00pm; time it right and you might get one of them.
  • Parking meters need only be fed until 8:00pm.
  • Unless you have a residential permit, un-metered side street parking is limited to two hours; residents will call the City about cars parked too long.

We strongly recommend the Caroline Street Garage, just two blocks West of the Theatre at Caroline and Lancaster Streets (next door to the Black Olive Inn). Evening/weekend parking is just $3. To speed your exit, instead of taking a ticket as you enter the Garage, insert your credit card into the gate; use the same credit card to exit--you need not visit the payment machine.
