SEEKING 2 Male, 3 Female Tommy Tortoise: Musical theatre tenor with strong contemporary voice. A loveable nerd who hates his old shell and is convinced that a new shell is his ticket to popularity and approval. He is the story’s protagonist.
Harvey Hare: Musical theatre baritenor and strong actor. A cocky bully who makes fun of others to hide his insecurities. Harvey is a jock and the most popular guy in school. He is the story’s antagonist. Cindy Snail: Mezzo voice with strong belt/mix and contemporary sound. A quiet and nervous young girl who is head-over-heels in love with Tommy. Should have excellent comedic timing and an endearing vulnerability. Brandi Bunny: Mezzo voice with strong, soulful belt/mix up to an F. Ability to play several different roles and commitment to strong characterization is a must. Should be able to move well. Brandi is part of the sassy “doo-wop” trio narrating the story. Roxy Raccoon: Mezzo voice with strong, soulful belt/mix up to an F. Ability to play several different roles and commitment to strong characterization is a must. Should be able to move well. PRODUCTION SCHEDULE All rehearsals are in New York City at Shetler Studios. All Tech and Performances are at the StageOne theater in Fairfield, Connecticut; accessible by Metro-North train. Rehearsals (11): Mon thru Fri 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 16 – Feb. 1 Performances (6): Feb 2 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Feb 3 at 2 p.m. Feb 9 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Feb 10 at 2 p.m. In-School Performances (2): Jan 25 at 8:30 a.m. Feb 4 at 3:00 p.m.
