Auditions at the Strand!
This Sunday - January 12th - the Strand will be holding auditions for our spring production:
TELETHON by Kristin Newbom. Audition slots are available from 9:30am to 1:30pm and from 5pm to 9pm. ***To schedule a time to audition please e-mail elena@strand-theater.org*** You will be sent two short sides to prepare, as well as the whole script. ... Production Info:
Playwright: Kristin Newbom Director: Elissa Goetschius Schedule Rehearsals: Feb 3-25 Tech: Feb 25 - March 5 Previews: March 6,7,8 Opening: March 9 Performances: March 13, 14, 15, (19), 20, 21, 22, (23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30) (dates in parentheses are possible additional/extension dates) Show Description Lewis, Shelly, and Larry live in a group home for individuals with disabilities. After every holiday fundraiser, they unwind at a local Dunkin’ Donuts while their caregivers count the proceeds. Between jabs and jokes, true friendships form and the group comes to rely on each other in ways they didn’t anticipate. But trusting someone can hurt. If you rely on someone, how do you cope when they aren’t there any more? Character Breakdown Scott Male 24-35 Caregiver. Frustrated. Suffers from anxiety attacks. A bit of an opportunist.
