Saint Petersburg City Theatre is holding auditions for the Michael and Susan Parker comedic farce, “Sin, Sex & the C.I.A.” on Sunday, January 2 and Monday, January 3 at 7:00 P.M. at the theatre. All roles are open. Production dates are February 11-13 and 18-20, 2022. Huge oil reserves have been discovered in the Chagos Islands. O.P.E.C. is pressuring the islands to join the cartel. Seeking the protection of the U.S., a secret meeting is arranged between a representative of the islands and the U.S. in a C.I.A. safehouse secluded in the mountains. The C.I.A. has sent first-time agent Luke James (who gets caught in all his own booby traps, electrocutes himself, sets himself on fire, gets a bucket stuck on his head, and locks himself in his own handcuffs). Add to this the house caretaker (who is secretly an ex-marine), an undersecretary (with an overactive libido), a hell and damnation televangelist (who finds sin around every corner), a dowdy and innocent (or is she?) secretary, and a sexy, mysterious next-door neighbor, and you get a perfect blend of twisted plot and tomfoolery. All roles require physical comedy and a willingness to be in suggestive (though not overtly sexual) proximity to other actors. There is no nudity. Please click below to view full audition notice. |
