Rubicon Theatre Company

seeks local, non-union actors to audition for Thornton Wilder’s classic OUR TOWN

As the title show of Rubicon’s 15th Season: Our Town~Your Theatre, and in celebration of the play’s 75th Anniversary, Rubicon proudly presents Thornton Wilder’s classic Our Town. Set in Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, a quintessentially American town at the turn of the last century, Our Town reminds us of the precious nature of every moment of every day. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award, this powerful and poetic drama first premiered in the 1930s. As the Stage Manager, Rubicon’s Artistic Director James O’Neil narrates Wilder’s immortal tale of love, marriage, death and daily life. “Oh earth, you’re too wonderful for anyone to ever realize you,” says Emily, played in our production by Lauren Patten (Rubicon’s Anne Frank). Ventura residents Dillon Francis and Joseph Fuqua also play pivotal roles in this Great American Classic. Directed by Jenny Sullivan, Our Town will play at Rubicon Theatre Company’s home in Ventura’s downtown cultural district, March 6 through March 31, 2013.
