KRILL - The Secret Theatre

Casting for the role of Evan, a 30-something man, in a short one-act two-hander scheduled for the Act One: One Act Festival at the Secret Theatre in Long Island City, Queens. A few rehearsals will be scheduled Jan. 2-12 in Manhattan with possibly a rehearsal at the theater before tech on Jan. 11. Six performances between Jan. 14 and Jan. 28.

The play is a simple scenario of two strangers who meet in a city park in the wake of an indeterminate natural disaster on the other side of the country, trying to make heads or tails of what's happened. (Yes, it's a displaced response to the election, but with no political content.) The playwright is Jon Sobel, publisher and executive editor of Blogcritics, with Harrison Densmore (Creative Director of Ensemble Studio Theatre) directing.
