Gretna Theatre Announces Local Season Auditions
Mt. Gretna, PA - Open Auditions are announced for Gretna Theatre’s upcoming summer season led by Larry Frenock, Producing Artistic Director; Christian Saint-Girard, Casting Director; Louis F. Goldberg and Ryan Edward Wise, Musical Directors.
Seeking triple-threat actor/singer/dancers for all of the musicals listed, and especially excellent local character actors for both the play and musicals to portray ages 45 – 65+.
Also seeking two young girls, one who can play age 6 and one age 12 (prefer older children to play younger as these
are major roles) who must be excellent young actors/singers for “Meet Me in St. Louis.” All roles available (all children’s roles and many adult roles will be cast locally) for shows that include
“Little Women, The Musical”
(runs June 7 - 17, director/choreographer Jason Summers),
Agatha Christie’s “A Murder is Announced”
(runs June 21 - 24, director Dan Winerman),
40th Anniversary production of “Grease”
(runs June 28 – July 8, director Barry Pearl, choreographer Judy Williams Henry),
the new Burt Bacharach musical comedy “Burt & Me”
(runs July 12 - 15, director/choreographer Dennis Courtney) and the
great family musical “Meet Me in St. Louis”
(runs July 19 – 29, director/choreographer Christian Saint-Girard).
Please do not call or submit by email unless it is impossible for you to attend this open call. Note that we cannot cast actors without an audition.
Local Open Auditions at the Mt. Gretna United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Mt. Gretna, PA on
Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Sign up list for audition time slots will begin at 9:00 am –
unofficial lists will not be honored. Please do not call for appointments as they will not be scheduled ahead of
time. Final callbacks will be held as needed on March 17 by appointment only. Gretna Theatre will also be attending the StrawHat auditions and conducting their open call in New York City in February and March.
