CENTRO ROSELANDS TALENT SEARCH 2013 is back aiming to discover Australia’s next
generation of young talent with the help of KidsXpres
Auditions commence 6 June $5,000 in prize money to be won
Some of Australia’s best musical talent took their first steps onto the stage at ROSELANDS TALENT SEARCH including world renowned group Human Nature, Paulini, Nathan Foley, Shaun Rennie and many more.
This year’s quest now has greater meaning with the support of KidsXpress. Hailed as one of Australia’s original and most distinguished talent quests, the ROSELANDS TALENT SEARCH will not only showcase a wealth of young talent but also support young children in need. KidsXpress uses music, art and drama to empower children for life. By embracing the healing power of creativity, and giving children a positive outlet for self-expression, KidsXpress is helping to transform children facing challenges, loss or trauma in their lives. KidsXpress helps children deal with issues such as bullying, illness, loss of a loved one and domestic violence. Audience members will have the opportunity to donate to
KidsXpress during the quest.
Auditions this year begin on Thursday June 6 and continue on Thursday June 13 looking for aspiring dancers, singers and performers aged 5 to 18 years old. The successful contestants from this round of auditions will perform in the heats during the School Holidays from Monday 1 to Friday 5 July.
Contestants will perform daily at 11.30am and 1.30pm daily. The ten junior and ten senior winners will then compete in the Grand Final on Saturday 6 July. In between the Junior and Senior Grand Final shows last year’s amazing 1st place winners will perform exclusively for the Roselands audience.
This unique competition provides an amazing opportunity to perform under the bright lights in front of a large live audience. It’s a great boost for young performers who have their sights set on shows such as Australia’s Got Talent, X Factor and The Voice to help them gain confidence and exposure.
As well as Human Nature there is also a long list of past contestants from ROSELANDS TALENT SEARCH who have gone on to stellar careers. They include Nikki Webster, Mitchell Hicks, Tamara Jaber, X Factor finalists Mahogany and The Voice 2012 Finalists Diana Rouvas and Danni Da Ros.
The 2013 Centro Roselands Talent Search will be produced by Showtime Attractions in conjunction with Triple Treat Promotions. Clive & Susie Smither and Chris Farnham produced the quest for the entire 12 years it dominated the Sydney talent scene. Triple Treat cabaret trio have won five Mo Awards for Excellence in Live Performance and Ace Awards with a long career in
the entertainment industry and mentoring up and coming young performers.
