CENTRO ROSELANDS TALENT SEARCH 2012 AUDITIONS COMMENCE 14 JUNE $10,000 IN PRIZE MONEY UP FOR GRABS
Some of Australia’s best musical talent took their first steps onto the stage at the ROSELANDS TALENT SEARCH including world renowned group Human Nature, Nikki Webster, Shaun Rennie, and many more
Hailed as one of Australia’s original and most distinguished talent quests, the ROSELANDS TALENT SEARCH will again showcase a wealth of young talent in June and July. Auditions begin on Thursday June 14 and continue on Saturday 16 June looking for aspiring dancers, singers and performers aged 5 to 18 years old.
The successful contestants from this round of auditions will perform in the Heats which will be held during the School Holidays from Monday 2 to Friday 6 July.
Junior contestants will perform daily at 11.30am with Senior contestants performing at 1.30pm daily with 10 acts being chosen to compete in the Junior Grand Final show and 10 acts in the Senior Grand Final show, both shows to be held on Saturday 7 July.
For many young performers, the competition will provide an amazing opportunity to perform under the bright lights in front of a large live audience. The competition will help young performers who have their sights set on shows such as Australia’s Got Talent, X Factor and The Voice to help them gain confidence and exposure. Many past contestants have gone on to successful careers in musical theatre also using skills learnt at Roselands.
There is long and impressive list of past contestants in the ROSELANDS TALENT SEARCH who have gone on to stellar careers. They include Human Nature, Paulini, Kathleen de Leon and Nathan Foley (Hi 5 members), Shaun Rennie (Mamma Mia, Cats, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber) Nikki Webster, Mitchell Hicks (Tap Dogs, The Boy from Oz, Hairspray and current production of A Chorus Line) Tamara Jaber (of pop group Scandalous and famously married to Kyle Sandilands), X Factor finalists Mahogany and Robert Jeffrey (Wicked) to name a few.
The 2012 Centro Roselands Talent Search will be produced by Showtime Attractions in conjunction with Triple Treat Promotions. Clive & Susie Smither and Chris Farnham produced the quest for the entire 12 years that it dominated the Sydney talent scene. Triple Treat cabaret trio have won five Mo Awards for Excellence in Live Performance and Ace Awards with a long career in the entertainment industry and mentoring up and coming young performers.
