Bill Hanney’s Theatre by the Sea in Matunuck, RI, Bill Hanney Owner/Producer, Kevin P. Hill Artistic Director, is seeking non-union male and female dancers and singers for the 2015 season. All must be strong dancers and singers.

All please prepare 2 short songs (16 bars) you may not be asked for 2. Bring music in the correct key, an accompanist is provided but will not transpose. All please bring appropriate dance wear, and jazz and tap shoes. Bring head shots and resumes stapled together back to back.

Ken - the smoothie who, along with Victor, Adrian, and Fred, makes up a quartet modeled on The Drifters
Adrian - the slow one of the quartet
Frederick - the implacable bass of the quartet
Victor - the preening bad-boy who gets most of the comedy
Michael - genuinely suave and impressive, evokes the memory of Elvis
Brenda - a combination of savvy, wit, brains and beauty
B.J. - inspired by the titanic rhythm and blues shouter Big Mama Thornton
Pattie - the throaty voice of experience
DeLee - suggests the innocence of teenage girls, but with a wild streak

Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID
ARIEL - A mermaid and King Triton's youngest daughter. She is obsessed with everything about the human world, and dreams of becoming a part of life above the water. Hardheaded, naive, and emotional, but also kind hearted. Female, 16-25 yrs old - Range: Ab3 - Gb5
CHEF LOUIS - The French palace chef, diabolical and violent. A culinary perfectionist with an affinity for blades, seafood in particular. Male, 30-50 yrs old - Range: Bb2 - A4
FLOTSAM - An eel and one of Ursula's lackeys. Oily and spineless, he will say anything you want or need to hear. Male, 20-40 yrs old - Range: E3 - C5
FLOUNDER - A fish and smitten with Ariel, his best friend. Rambunctious but cautious, fearful of the dangers that lurk in and above the water. Male, 15-20 yrs old - Range: A2 - G4
GRIMSBY - Prince Eric's British guardian. Droll, stuffy, and constantly urging Eric towards his royal duties, specifically marriage. Male, 40-60 yrs old - Range: C3 - C4

KING TRITON - King of the Sea and Ariel's father. Beneath his imposing presence and commanding nature lurks a harried single father who will do anything to protect his daughters. The death of his wife has also given him an irrational fear of humans. Male, 35-45 yrs old - Range: Ab2 - F4
PRINCE ERIC - A human monarch who has no interest of taking the crown. A handsome, affable lad with a buoyant, adventurous nature. After Ariel saves his life, he becomes obsessed with finding her and hearing her voice once more. Male, 20-30 yrs old - Range: B2 - G4
SCUTTLE - A disheveled seagull and expert in human artifacts. Loudmouthed, optimistic, and a bit ignorant, despite his supposed expertise. Male, 25-40 yrs old - Range: C3 - G4
SEBASTIAN - A crab and advisor to King Triton. A musical virtuoso who is constantly distraught from keeping after Ariel. Despite his paranoia, he can't bring himself to stand in Ariel's way. Male, 30-45 yrs old - Range: Bb2 - C5
URSULA The banished Sea Witch and sister of King Triton. Supposedly spurned at childhood, she will use whatever method necessary to steal the kingdom and claim it as her own. Malevolent, calculating, and deceptive. Female, 35-45 yrs old - Range: Eb3 - C5
