Musical Theatre West presents Ain’t Misbehavin’, a vibrant celebration of the music and culture of the Harlem Renaissance, running from October 18 to November 3, 2024, at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center. Directed and choreographed by Paul David Bryant, this production features a talented cast including Eric B. Anthony, Marty Austin Lamar, Amber Liekhus, Fredericka Meek, and Chante Carmel, all accompanied by a live six-piece band. The show showcases beloved Fats Waller hits while immersing audiences in the exuberance of 1920s and 1930s New York, enhanced by bold costumes designed by Carina Holley. With its energetic performances and rich historical context, Ain’t Misbehavin’ pays tribute to the legacy of Black artists who defined an influential era.
