Step Afrika! presents the Chicago premiere of The Migration: Reflections on Jacob Lawrence at The Auditorium. This 90-minute performance explores the early 20th-century migration of African Americans to the North, inspired by Jacob Lawrence's iconic artwork. Under the direction of Founder and Executive Producer C. Brian Williams, the company blends stepping with traditional African dances, live music, and contemporary art forms to create a compelling narrative. Notable performances will be enhanced by musicians Lionel Lyles, Agyei Edwards, and vocals from Ariel Dykes, Briona Jackson, and Kanysha Williams.
