Jonah Hale is a New York City-based performer and photographer. Originally from Minnesota, Jonah moved to NYC in 2015 to attend Wagner College where he later graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Performance and a Minor in Dance. Jonah found his love for photography in high school, and what started as a hobby has slowly grown into a passion and a second career.
Jonah finds that his photography is often informed by his life as a performer and dancer, and his performances are informed by his photography. His awareness of bodies, space, movement, and shapes enhances his ability to capture beauty, emotion, and action in still images, and create dynamic, physical images and experiences on stage. He is grateful to have a life as an artist that does not include sharp boundaries between his passions but rather encompasses them both into one larger package.
