(Apr. 28 12:30 AM) - Office Space is a 1999 American comedy film satirizing work life in a typical 1990s software company. Written and directed by Mike Judge, it focuses on a handful of individuals fed up with their jobs portrayed by Ron Livingston, Jennifer Aniston, Gary Cole, David Herman, Ajay Naidu, and Diedrich Bader. Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston) is a computer programmer working for Initech in Houston. Every day, he and his friends Samir (Ajay Naidu) and Michael Bolton (David Herman), suffer endless indignities and humiliations in their soulless workspace from their soulless boss, Bill Lumbergh (Gary Cole).

Music Theatre International (MTI) granted StarStruck the privilege of producing the World Premiere of RENT: School Edition in 2007, and now the musical that changed Broadway is coming back to the Treasure Coast. It will play StarStruck Theatre April 20-29.

Perfomed by students from the Theatre’s Paul and Sandra Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts, Pippin tells the story of the young prince Pippin and his quest for the secrets of true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, in temptation and the intrigues of political power – but in the end, he finds it in the simple pleasures of home and family.

(Apr. 2 12:30 AM) - The South Florida community is invited to celebrate the achievements of the talented theater professionals in the region at the 36th Annual Carbonell Awards on Monday, April 2, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. in the Amaturo Theater, at Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 S.W. 5th Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Tickets in advance are $25 with $20 tickets available for groups of 10 or more, $35 at the door. Tickets are available at the Broward Center’s box office or by emailing carbexec@aol.com or visiting www.browardcenter.org. This award ceremony will feature performances from each of the productions nominated for Best Musical in 2011.

In a ceremony held in the Goldners’ honor, the Theatre’s leaders unveiled signs bearing the Conservatory’s new name: the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Paul and Sandra Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts.

(Mar. 27 5:19 PM) - On Tuesday, March 20, Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club, a premier golf club in Boca Raton, Florida, welcomed back recent recipient of the Fred Ebb Award and Tony Award Nominee, Jeff Blumenkrantz and his fellow Broadway actor, Laura Patinkin. The two performers showcased their talents for a crowd of more than 200 Boca Grove members and guests. The intimate, two person show featured a number of beloved Broadway standards from shows such as "Sound of Music," "West Side Story," "Gypsy," "Cabaret" and more. They also performed a handful of Blumenkrantz's original songs.
